There are many Authors that inspire me on a daily basis. Many of them are the reason I am at the point I am at today in my life. I can allocate much of my work, time, and efforts to people such as Harper Lee, Truman Capote, Emily Giffin, John Green, Sophie Kinsella, and Henry Cloud, just to name a few. Innumerable Authors from all backgrounds. There is, however, one, in particular, and I just can’t get enough of her. That is Mrs. Jane Green herself.
I try keeping up with Jane, just as often as I try keeping up with myself. For those of you who don’t know Jane, I apologize ahead of time. She’s an amazing Author of seventeen Novels. I discovered Jane while coming across her Novel To Have And To Hold, Shortly after it had just been released. I was at a Borders store, that should tell you how long ago that was. I purchased two books that day, Baby Proof by Emily Giffin and To Have And To Hold by Jane Green. That day I was immediately fascinated.
There were many times growing up I thought to myself, one day I’m going to write a book. I attempted several times and failed miserably. One night around 1 a.m the thought came back to me and I have been unstoppable ever since. That merely leads me to believe there is a perfect time for everything. Jane continuously captivates not only myself but all of her readers. She regularly updates her blog, which not many Authors do. I would like to applaud her for that.
Every time I find myself reading one of her blog posts, I feel the similarities more and more. She is very fond of her bed, as am I. She enjoys shutting her phone off for hours and a time and partaking in nonstop writing, me too. She does not like being anything less than superwomen, I will not ever be anything less than superwomen.
If in my wildest dreams I had the chance to sit down and have a glass of wine with her while having dinner in the garden, life would be complete. I encourage you to check out her books. I honestly think that if it weren’t for her books all of the madness in my head would still be a cluster simply screaming for help to get out. In the grand scheme of it all, Jane Green is very well known and I am not. However, that does not distill the fact that I too am a writer and I will make something of that one way or another. I’m hopeful for the future of my career, and I look forward to future inspiration from Jane Green and her books.
Update: Jane recently opened her Amazon shop. Check it out here.
