With the definite chill that flows through the air, I am excited to say that Autumn is here. This is my favorite time of year for numerous reasons. One of them is an intense time for football. Although I must say that there is a tie between football and everything that smells of pumpkin spice. I know, typical of me, right? I just can’t escape the pleasurable feeling I get when I hear that Starbucks has a pumpkin spice latte waiting for me. I’m perfectly happy roaming around in my hoodie and slippers.
Today is Sunday which is my absolute favorite day of the week. I get to be lazy, catch up on my weekly laundry, watch football, and cook. Yes, I do those things throughout the week but there is just something about doing them on Sunday that I love. The last few weeks have been a bit rough for the Green Bay Packers, as I predicted during the NFL draft.
To be clear, I expect them to make a turnaround but I also know good football when I see it. I understand that my team is trying to work with the formations that they have at hand, and I understand our unfortunate losses this season. To understand why the outcome of the game is the way that it is is to understand what happened that brought on that outcome. We have had multiple injuries this season with our best receivers and defense. They are slowly but surely returning to us free from injury and hopefully ready to play. I still have faith!
Happily, the next two weeks will be very busy for me. I have a Friends-giving with my best girlfriends and some Christmas shopping to follow. Having visited with my Grandparents yesterday (which is always nice), They were putting up their Christmas decorations. It brought out the Holiday spirit in me and I decided that today I will do the same.
