Out of all of the things, I wanted to be growing, up Detective was one of my favorites. CSI: Miami forensic scientist to be exact. Although I am more of a Chicago P.D, Chicago Justice kind of gal. None of these shows would ever prepare me for the detective I would play in my own life or the prosecutor I play during every human reality series to sweep the nation on CNN. A.K.A murder trials. As much as I watch the trials, you won’t catch me at them. I remember being sentenced to jury duty once. I was the last juror picked and two minutes away from being put on a murder trial. That was until I blurted out that I just couldn’t do it.
There was a reason we were all gathered there, and it wasn’t just for fun and games. Whatever the case may be, the defense played some role in the outcome or there wouldn’t be a trial. Maybe it’s just me and how I think, but that’s what I believe. There have only been 146 cases in the U.S that have been exonerated. If that’s not doing it for you, go ahead look at the facts. I’m sure they are there, covered up so you have no choice but to convict them within reason, which you won’t find because like I said they covered up their mess. Innocent until proven guilty, right?
I say guilty as charged.
I’ve been watching The Murder of Laci Peterson on A&E. I have to admit the case was so long ago I didn’t remember anything about it until I emerged myself in the series. Now I remember nearly everything, which Is shocking because I would have been seven at the time. I have no doubt in my mind that Scott Peterson killed his wife. And I think he rested his cause for an appeal (which is why the series is airing), and that he needs to be dealt with already. For some reason, the mystery remains. Who killed Laci Peterson? Well, I’ll tell you who did, Scott, her “loving supportive husband.” That’s who killed Laci.
Here are my theories on the case:
Theory 1: Laci Peterson found out about her husband’s affair with Amber Frey on December 23rd, 2002. She then, for the sake of her unborn child threatened to leave Scott. They then got into an argument that turned into some sort of physical altercation causing Scott to kill her. He then panicked, packed her body up in the middle of the night and dumped her body in the San Francisco Bay. The following morning he would then proceed as if everything was normal.
He then went out of his way 90 miles or so to the Berkeley Marina where he would then spend the next few hours fishing for the sake of an alibi. In this scenario, there were people that claimed to have seen Laci walking the dog that morning. I don’t believe that. I believe that people were so used to seeing Laci walk the dog in the small town of Modesto, that they got their days mixed up. Maybe she was walking the dog the day prior, the day of her killing. Not the day of.
I also believe that one of two things is occupying the mind of Scott Peterson. If you’ve seen the movie Shutter Island then you might understand where this is heading. The first theory is that after he killed Laci, he completely reset his mind. I say this because, during the investigation of Scott, there was absolutely no criminal record to be found. And nobody that knew Scott and Laci could image Scott doing this. This also fits his usual sociopathic lack of emotion during his wife’s disappearance. According to Neuroscience, the brain can ultimately rewire it’s self back to a “safe place.” Meaning Scott really doesn’t know what he did and he needs help to bring it to the surface.
Theory 2: Same scenario as theory one. I fully believe that the reason Laci is no longer here with us today is on behalf of Scott’s affair. I believe she found out and Scott didn’t like that. But maybe Laci was alive on December 24th, 2002. Maybe she was out walking the dog early that morning while Scott had an internal conflict, fighting his urge to kill his wife, a battle that he ultimately lost.
When Laci returned, he killed her, throw her body in the back of his boat and headed toward the San Fransisco Bay where he would then dump her body and head for the Berkeley Marina. If Scott does remember killing his wife then the other alternative theory is that he is just continuing to lie through his teeth. If he is doing this, he doesn’t deserve another appeal or the rooftop life he is living in at San Quentin.
What do you think? Say Hello.
