I was so completely smitten by the Royal Wedding this past weekend. And I’m so thankful I got to cover it. It was nothing short of Marvelous. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle both looked amazing and so happy to be together. I can’t wait for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to have a few little ones!
If you haven’t watched the Royal Wedding yet you can stream it here.
I think seeing Prince Harry shed a tear when Meghan walked down the aisle made everyone a bit emotional. Some crying alone with him. It was one of the sweetest moments of the day. Another sweet moment was when Meghan reached Harry looked at her and said “I’m so lucky. You look amazing.” I mean seriously, can he get any cuter?
Both of Meghan’s dresses were absolutely stunning. She wore a long-sleeve boat neck cinderella dress designed by Clare Waight Keller. It featured a bateau boat neck with long sleeves, a flowing train, and a gorgeous 16-foot veil that included flowers from 53 countries in the commonwealth. Perhaps the most breathtaking feature was Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara that pulled together the whole look.
Then Meghan surprised with a second wedding dress which was just as splendid as the first one. Her second dress was bespoke Stella McCartney with shoes by Aquazzura. She was a complete Princess. Though, me being the Royal Watcher that I am, I believe she looks amazing in anything she wears!
After exchanging their vows inside St. George’s Chapel at Windsors Castle, the newlyweds waited until they were outside of the Chapel before sharing their first kiss as husband and wife. Just before their carriage ride through the town Meghan and Harry shared their kiss with the public.
All-in-all this wedding was absolutely wonderous. Everything was perfect (as perfect as it could be), and our sweet Prince is finally married to the love of his life. I’ll now be living vicariously through Meghan and Harry. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
