Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I absolutely love the country. I grew up in the country. There’s just a different vibe down here and it takes some time to get used to it.
I’ve made the decision to travel the entire east coast instead of looking for a piece of land like I originally planned to do. Oh, the joys of working whenever I want. It really is a beautiful thing. So at the very last minute, I decided to take a trip down to Jacksonville, North Carolina to visit my sweet Jenna for a week. And I’m so glad I did.
After this, I think I’m headed to Atlanta and then to Memphis. But for now, I enjoy North Carolina. I’ve only been here a couple of days and I haven’t got to experience much but this weekend we’ve got a full agenda. Friday we’ve got tickets to see Sara Schaefer at Dead Crow Comedy Club and Saturday we’re planning to go on a dolphin safari and spend the day at the beach.
Does it really get any better than this? I don’t think so. Making the decision to travel around the country is by far one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’ll admit though, when I first arrived in North Carolina I wasn’t all that thrilled. But in my defense, I had just come from Red Bank where everything is close to me. Then I get down here where there’s nothing but trailers and corn fields.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I absolutely love the country. I grew up in the country. There’s just a different vibe down here and it takes some time to get used to it. Maybe I’ve become spoiled living close to New York. Who knows. But I am excited to be down here with my Jenna bean. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Hello North Carolina. I’m excited to see what adventures you have in store for me.
