For the past six months, I’ve been living in Bradley Beach. This was a time for reflection. A time for me to figure out what the next chapter in my life is going to be. Now that I’ve somewhat got that figured out, there’s something that I’ve been wanting to express. Something that’s kind of annoying.
Though I live a good life and there really isn’t anything to complain about. I just find it so annoying when people let their dog bark for an extended period of time. Or when I’m walking into the house (my house) and someone doesn’t stop their dog from barking at me. Like really?
I don’t understand it. If my dog were barking for 20 minutes straight I would tell her to stop. Especially since I work from home. And if she were barking at someone that walked in the house, I would not let her bark at them continuously. You know it would annoy you.
This has been one of the most annoying (actually the only) part of living here in New Jersey. With just a month to go, I can’t wait to be able to walk in and out of my own home in peace. I want to meditate without interruption, read my books in quiet, and take a nap without hearing a dog bark for twenty minutes.
That’s all I want. But I understand I can’t control other people (which is why I haven’t said anything) I can only control myself. So needless to say, I am happy to be moving on soon to the next chapter in this book. Next stop? Denmark. Until then, I’m going for a nice long walk.
