Hours spent driving: 19
Hours spent writing: 3
It’s official. After about 19 hours of driving a couple of days of me trying to get my life together, I’ve finally made it to Holland for the summer. Holland Michigan. Not the province in Europe. Though the two have very similar architecture I’d much rather be in Europe. One day.
My goal is to explore as much as I can this summer while I’m in the van (yes, I finally got the van) and to save as much money as I possibly can so that I can ship myself off to Denmark. I’m excited to say that I’ve arrived here just in time for tulip season and to visit Nelis’ Dutch Village. If it ever stops raining that is.
I don’t know why, maybe it’s climate change, but ever since I arrived here last week it’s been nothing but rain. It really puts a damper on things. Especially when you’ve just taken on van life. Hopefully mother nature decides to get it together and give us a few nice sunny days so I can go to the beach and write.
On another note, I just finished reading The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck and now I have a full day of book edits ahead of me. Then tonight I shall finish watching the rest of Vikings season 5 and move onto season 3 of Colony. Here’s to rainy days and a great summer in Holland.
