The Howard Miller Library has become my full-time office. I’m trying to do what I can to keep myself busy in hopes that before I know it I’ll be where I want to be. At least for the time being until I want to be somewhere else. Keeping busy is what I do best. Well aside from writing.
But there are times when I recognize that I have to get myself out of my comfort zone. Because that’s exactly where I was. I was comfortable in the library. I was comfortable where I was and I didn’t want to do anything else.
So today I made myself get up and go for a walk. Mostly because I wanted some tea. But nonetheless, I still go up and went on a walk. I walked all of about 5 minutes when the cutest creamery caught my eye.
is by far the most beautiful creamery I’ve ever been inside of. The experience was captivating. The owner of this place clearly had a plan and it was executed brilliantly. They have the most delicious crepes and coffee. It was like being right in the heart of France.
If I’m being completely honest it made me feel like I was Katy Otto on American Housewife. Like I was one of the real housewives of Westport, CT. I was in a world that I liked but didn’t belong in.
Needless to say, If I didn’t choose to get up and go for a walk I would have never found ould be a good thing or it could be a bad thing. Now I’m obsessed with it and I want to go there every day. Which will only mean spending extra time at the gym so I’m not entirely sure if that’s going to work.
We’ll see. But in the meantime, it’s time for lunch. French onion soup and a nice cup of hot tea. Thank you
