Hours spent at Barnes & Noble: 3
Hours spent writing: 1
Ah, Barnes & Noble. My home away from home. The place I feel most comfortable. Here I am content. Here I am happy. For me, it is a place for me to become inspired. It’s where I remember who I am as a writer. It is the place that reminds me of the very moment I wanted to become a writer every time I step into it.
Barnes & Noble is a place for me to get lost in the pages of a book for hours on end. It’s my happy place and I love it. Yesterday when I was sitting in a chair near the corner of Starbucks reading , I thought to myself: can you really spend too much time at Barnes & Noble? I mean really? Personally, I could spend all day there reading and writing.
It was a slightly rainy Sunday which made it the perfect day to sit around and read books all day. Add in a cup of hot tea and that’s how I would prefer to spend every day of my life if I could. And to top it off, there were many people around but it was quiet. Somehow it made me feel a little less alone. I was content. So content that I was able to plot my next move.
Aside from inspiring me to read and write, this place also inspires me to expand my horizons. There are now so many fun projects in my queue waiting to be executed I can’t wait to share them with everyone. But for now, while I wait for endless amounts of paperwork it’s just me, my van, and the nearest Barnes & Noble to keep me company.
There’s no such thing as spending too much time at Barnes & Noble.
